What’s included
Packing service covers the rooms you choose: kitchen crockery, pictures, books, clothes in wardrobe boxes and garage tools sorted into cartons. Each box gets a room label and a note if contents are fragile. We bring paper, bubble wrap and boxes sized to the job, or use your boxes when they are fit for purpose.
We do not pack hazardous materials, open paint tins or food that needs refrigeration. Insurance is provided. Ask us what is covered when you book.
Move day can use the same crew if you booked packing and removals together, so load order matches how you want to unpack.
How our service works
Walk us through the home or send a video tour. Say which rooms you will pack yourself and which you want us to handle. We quote in writing with pack days and materials, valid for three months.
Pack teams work room by room, leaving paths clear and stacking cartons safely. Fragile items stand upright with clear marks. On move day the removal crew loads kitchen and fragile stacks with care.
If you add items after packing started, tell us before load day so van space and time still match.
What affects the cost
Room count and how much breakable goods sit in each cupboard drive time. A sparse spare room is quick; a kitchen full of glass is not. Mixed jobs where you pack clothes but we pack china need a clear split so we do not double-handle.
Parking and stairs affect how fast materials come in. Linking pack day tightly to move day avoids paying for two trips when one plan will do.

Packing across Manchester
Open-plan flats in Ancoats and Salford Quays need lift-friendly stack plans. Family homes in Chorlton and Stockport often mix cellar storage and loft boxes that benefit from early sorting.
Our Manchester removals page shows how packing sits alongside house, office and flat moves on the same calendar.
Materials and what we leave behind
We can take away empty boxes and wrap once rooms are empty if you ask when booking. Paint tins, aerosols and plants usually stay with you because they are awkward or restricted in a closed van. Wardrobe cartons stay upright in transit; tell us which closets need them. Office packing uses crate labels that match desk numbers so Monday morning is not a paper hunt.
What affects the cost
How many rooms
A kitchen and lounge take less time than four bedrooms plus a study full of books.
Fragile density
Glass-front cabinets and ornament collections need more wrap and time than clothing and soft furnishings.
Self-pack mix
If some rooms are already boxed, we quote only for what is left, provided boxes are closed and labelled.
Access and parking
Long carries from the van to the door add time when we bring materials in and boxes out on load day.
Link to move date
Packing the day before move day is common. Very early packing may mean you live among stacked cartons for a week.

Packing service FAQs
Do I need to buy boxes?
We can supply boxes and wrap as part of the quote, or pack into your own boxes if they are sturdy and closed properly.
Can you pack one day and move the next?
Yes. That is the usual pattern. We agree timing so everything is ready when the removal crew arrives.
Will you pack valuables and jewellery?
Small valuables are often better kept with you. Tell us what you prefer and we will agree what goes in cartons.
Do you unpack at the new house?
Our standard service is pack and move. Unpacking can be discussed when you quote if you want help on arrival.
Can packing be added to a house move quote?
Yes. One quote can cover packing and transport so dates and crew stay aligned.
